Kemper Museum of Art

Here's a few pictures from my recent trip to Kansas City's Museum of Art.
Looks like the "Thinking Man" has a headache.

This was a fun picture to catch. I was standing inside the front glass door of the museum when a car from Kentucky stopped and this gal jumped out and resumed this pose. After someone in the car took her picture, they were off as fast as they arrived. They never had a clue I got her picture too!

What fun!!!

2007 Renaissance Festival

OK, now for some pictures I took last year. This was my second visit to the Kansas City 2007 Renaissance Festival and it was hard to have a good time. We went on the last day of the year, which happened to be the day after we received several inches of rain. Could have been titled the Rain Fest! I spent more time watching my step than looking for good pictures to get. Still got some great photos.

The Old Market

I travel a lot and had an opportunity to visit Omaha, Nebraska's Old Market. What a peaceful and lovely place to visit. My wife Nancy loves the photo of the window. It was an old fashion candy store and I can just picture a little child peeking in the window imagining how good the candy would taste.

My favorite is the old safe (top right). It reminds me of the Old West.

Drew

This is my son, Drew. He's much like me in that he prefers to be behind the camera. I was happy to get a few shots of him this week on the deck.

Clesie - aka Ecclesiastes

Here's the newest member of our family. We had a great day at the lake, but Clesie didn't realize the edge of the lake dropped off into deep water. As a result, he became completely submerged.

Read more about the adventure at my wife's blog at www.oliveleafministries.blogspot.com/

Clesie just loves toys and really anything he finds ends up becoming a toy. He's technically a "retriever" but has a small problem. Once he retrieves a toy, he expects you to chase him down to get it. Not so fun for us!

Here he is at the end of the day totally wasted. I took him for a 2 mile walk and a few hours later my wife took him out for her walk. He's truly had enough for the day. He told me, "Dad, slow down! I'm only six months old. Four miles in one day is just plain abuse!"

Katie

We took Katie down to the Plaza for her session and what a fun time for all. Katie has a wonderful outgoing personality and sweet spirit. She made the shoot so easy and fun. The weather was great with lots of sunshine.
